Penemuan obat antirayap alami di temukan kembali. Antirayap ini dihasilkan dari ekstrak kulit biji Saga. Sifat antirayap ekstrak kulit biji Saga ini selengkapnya di laporkan dalam tulisan berikut :
The wood was easy degradated by termites so old age wood become decreased. Controlling of termites could done by used preservative plants by the nature of saga seed husk (Adenanthera pavonina L). This research aimed to know saga seed husk extract rate and percentage of heavy degradation of test example, level toxic of shallot husk extract based on value of mortality and termites consumption level value. Research done by extracting sample with methanol and partitioned with n-Hexane. Concentrated extract 2%, 4%, and 6% was used the toxicity test of the termite Coptotermes curvignathus.
The Results showed that saga seed husk extract content is 15.82%. Mortality of termite baiting with 6% concentration was happened in the day of 5 respectively, mortality in 2% and 4% was happened in the day 6 while the control concentration was happened in the day of 12. There was tendency of saga seed husk extract concentration excelsior hence progressively /repository.usu.ac.id/handle/123456789/33603lower the percentage lost weight of cellulose paper and rate of consumption of termites.
The percentage lost weight of cellulose paper about 3,88%–11,04%, mortality rate on different concentration reach 100 % and rate of consumption of termite is 0,26–0,73mg. Thereby concentration 6% was better evaluated from mortality, the percentage lost weight of cellulose paper and rate of consumption of termites.
